Air Force Men’s Tennis Hosts BYU and Montana State

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis hosts a pair of duals this weekend, March 8-10. The Falcons take on BYU on Friday, March 8 and Montana State on Sunday, March 10. Live video stream will be available for all weekend matches.

About the Falcons: Air Force is 4-6 on the season. The Falcons return seven letterwinners off the 2022-23 team, which went 12-11 on the season. The Falcons welcome three newcomers, including two freshmen. Air Force returns its top No. 1 singles players in All-MW singles and doubles selection in junior Arjun Kersten and senior and team captain Nick Vroman. In addition, the Falcons return sophomore Phillip Deaton, the 2023 Mountain West Freshman of the Year.
Last time out: Air Force dropped a 6-1 contest last Saturday at Rice. Sophomore AJ Moore won at No. 3 singles to lead the Falcons.
Urbina takes over program: Evan Urbina enters his first season as the head coach for Air Force. Urbina helped build up the program the previous nine years as the assistant coach under Dan Oosterhous, who retired from coaching after the 2022-23 season.
About BYU: BYU is 10-3 on the season. The Cougars have won nine in a row and are coming off a 6-1 win over Radford.
About Montana State: Montana State is 5-5 entering the weekend. The Bobcats fell 6-1 at Portland in their last outing.
