Air Force had three players mentioned in College Football Network's preseason all-Mountain West honors. Junior nose guard Payton Zdroik was named the preseason interior defender of the year, in addition to first-team all-conference honors. Junior fullback Dylan Carson earned third-team all-MW honors while senior defensive back Jamari Bellamy was an honorable mention selection.
Zdroik recorded 32 total tackles, including 6.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 quarterback sacks last season. He is the top returner for the Falcons in TFLs and sacks. Carson is the team's top returning rusher entering the season after recording 493 yards and two touchdowns in 2023. Bellamy is the team's top returning tackler entering this season. He recorded 35 total tackles, along with two tackles for loss and a team-best five pass breakups last season.
Air Force finished 9-4 overall last season, including a 5-3 mark in Mountain West games. The Falcons closed the season with a 31-21 victory over #24/25 James Madison in the Armed Forces Bowl to record a fifth straight bowl victory. Air Force was picked fourth in the Mountain West preseason media poll, released earlier this summer.
