Air Force completed the season with a 5-7 overall record and tied for fifth in the Mountain West with a 3-4 mark. The Falcons closed the season with a four-game winning streak with victories over Fresno State and Oregon State at home and road wins at Nevada and San Diego State. The four-game winning streak is the best since opening the 2023 season with an eight-game streak. The four-game streak to close the regular season is the best in the MW and tied as the fourth best nationally.
Air Force entered the season as the most inexperienced team in the nation with only four returning starters. Air Force opened the season with a 21-6 win over Merrimack before losing seven straight games. The Falcons had a nation-leading 16 players make the first start of their career in the opener. During the streak the team had 42 players make the first start of their career. Troy was second nationally with 26.
Air Force averaged 29.3 points per game during the four-game winning streak, an average of 15.5 points more than the first eight games. The Falcons averaged 302.1 rushing yards per game, an improvement of 117.1 yards per game. Air Force averaged 372.3 total yards, improving 87.8 yards per game. The time of possession game also improved dramatically, as the Falcons averaged 38:20 while hitting 40-plus in three of the four games, an improvement of 6:50 per game. Most importantly, the healthy and more experienced Falcons had no first-time starters over the last four games.
Senior offensive lineman Alex Moore and junior punter Luke Freer earned second-team all-Mountain West honors. Seniors Osaro Aihie (ILB), Jamari Bellamy (DB), Matthew Dapore (PK) and Camby Goff (DB), along with junior Costen Cooley (OL) were honorable mention selections.
