COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., - Air Force's Trishelle Lopez was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week, as announced by conference officials on Monday afternoon. This marks the Falcons first weekly award of the season.
Lopez helped Air Force women's soccer to a 1-0-1 record on the week against a pair of league opponents. In the 1-0 victory over Wyoming, the keeper logged five saves and her second career shutout. At Colorado State, Lopez managed a trio of saves to hold the Rams to a 1-1 draw.
So far this season, the Cape Coral, Fla., native has been a vital piece of the starting lineup, starting ten matches for 900 total minutes in goal. She holds a .737 save percentage with 42 saves.
