Air Force Downed at #10 LMU

Air Force men's water polo (15-9, 0-3 WCC) dropped a 21-16 contest at #10 LMU (7-8, 1-1 WCC) in West Coast Conference play Friday night at Burns Aquatic Center in Los Angeles, Calif.
In a high-scoring affair, LMU took control of the game early leading 5-2 after the first quarter. The teams traded five goals each in the second quarter to make it a 10-7 game at the half. The Falcons got to within a goal of the Lions in the third quarter as a Tom Leggett goal made it a 10-9 game.
It was as close as the Falcons could get, as LMU slowly pulled away.
Leggett led the Falcons with nine points and seven goals. Junior Jack Richards added five assists and six points. Senior Colin Chase notched a hat trick with three goals. Senior Luca Smith had seven saves in goal.
Air Force returns to action Sunday at Pepperdine.
