Air Force Falls at UNLV, 2-0

LAS VEGAS – Air Force was shutout by UNLV in Western Athletic Conference action, 2-0, Saturday evening, at Peter Johann Memorial Field. The Falcons drop to 1-10-2 (0-4 WAC) while the Rebels improved to 4-4-5 (1-0-3 WAC).
Despite AF outshooting UNLV, 12-7, the Rebels were the ones that found scoring success. The first strike came early (5') as Tyler Ware scored with help from Joaquin Eisenberg. The Rebels went up two-nil in the 42nd minute via Kai Merrill's foot.
Sophomore keeper Brody Smith made a pair of saves on the match. Sophomore midfielder Oliver Becker led the offensive charge with four shots.
Next up, Air Force hosts California Baptist on Thursday (Oct. 23). Action at Cadet Soccer Stadium is slated for 6pm.
