
Ethan Taylor Picked In First-Round Of NBA G-League Draft

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. -- 2025 Air Force graduate Ethan Taylor was selected by the Greensboro Swarm, an affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, in the first round of the 2025 NBA G-League Draft Saturday . Taylor was selected with the ninth pick of the draft.
***(Update) After the pick, Taylor was later traded to the Santa Cruz Warriors, the G-League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors.***
Taylor is a 2025 Air Force Academy graduate and four-year letterwinner for the men's basketball program. As a senior, Taylor led the Falcons with 13.9 points per game, 5.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists for the Falcons, earning All-Mountain West honors. Taylor led the Mountain West with 98 three's made in 2024-25, which is the second-most in program history.
Taylor ranks 10th all-time in scoring at Air Force with 1,324 career points. He ranks first all-time at the Academy with 121 starts and his 256 career three's is second. He is the only player in program history with 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 300 assists.
Taylor most recently played in the 2025 NBA Summer League with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Houston, Texas, native appeared in five games for the Lakers, tallying 21 points and shooting 53.8 percent from three-point range. In his final game of the summer, Taylor erupted for 15 points against the Denver Nuggets. He shot 5-of-8 from three point range in the game, adding five rebounds, five assists and two steals.
