Falcons Come from Behind for 2-1 Senior Day Win

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo., - Air Force (8-6-3, 6-2-1) sends off their seniors with their fourth consecutive, over Fresno State (6-6-5, 3-4-2), 2-1, on Sunday afternoon at Cadet Soccer Stadium. Annika Jost and Kendall Rippley scored the pair of goals while Trishelle Lopez recorded three saves.

The Falcons honored six seniors during the pregame senior day ceremony: Peyton Ferrell, Raine Komata, Kylie McElroy, Eleanor Musgrove, Samantha Sharp, and Caeli Sherman.

Fresno State struck first in the 19th minute, as Klara Chapeyrout slipped a shot into the top center of the net to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 advantage. Air Force responded with composure and control, maintaining steady possession until Jost saw the ball deflect off the Bulldogs' keeper in the 32nd minute and fired a clean strike to the bottom right corner to even the score.

The Falcons carried that momentum into the second half, coming out of the locker room energized and on the attack. Just four minutes in, Rippley found her moment, drilling a shot past the keeper for her fourth goal and third game-winner of the season, securing the 2-1 victory.

The Falcons will face Colorado College in the annual City for Champions Cup at Wiedner Field for their final regular season match, on Thursday October 30 at 6 p.m. MT.
