Men's Swim and Dive Finishes on Top on Day One of Front Range Invitational

DENVER, Colo., - Air Force men's swimming and diving opened the 2025-26 season on Friday October 3rd at the Front Range Invitational. The swim portion was held at Denver University, while the diving took place at USAFA. The swimmers completed day one leading the competition with a team score of 637.
Brandon Cho started off his Falcon career with a top placement in the 200 breast, clocking a time of 2:01.40. Tanner Wilson (2:01.62) and Anthony Sebastian (2:03.84) rounded out the top three.
Air Force's pair of relays both finished in third place with the 400 medley relay at 3:21.33 and the 200 free relay logging a time of 1:23.03.
Evan Witte clocked a time of 4:39.76 to finish in second place in the 500 free, with Tyler Surratt following in fourth (4:40.70).
Team captain James Winterfield recorded a third-place finish at 1:52.16 in the 200 IM.
Jordan Falls made his collegiate debut as the runner-up in the 50 freestyle (20.72).
In the 200 back, a pair of Falcons, Louie Body (1:52.07) and Garrett Kennedy (1:52.34) took second and third respectively.
With a time of 45.73, Joe Christ claimed bronze in the 100 free, while freshmen Keoni Li (46.07) and Jordan Falls (46.18) finished back-to-back in fourth and fifth.
Air Force saw a trio of Falcons take second, third, and fourth in the 200 fly: Winterfield (1:52.71), Jonas Dark (1:54.72), and Danny Detjen (1:55.03).
Meanwhile at USAFA, Lucas Gerten opened his collegiate diving career with a first-place finish on the 1-meter springboard, collecting a score of 307.85, 39 points ahead of second place. Jack Roby followed in third at 263.15, while Tyler Tolerico was right behind with a fourth-place score of 62.35.
On the platform, Gerten claimed second with a score of 279.25 with junior Korbin Moyer earning 258.15 points to finish in fourth.
The Falcons will return to the pool on Saturday October 4 to continue Front Range Invite action, at 10 a.m. MT.
