Fleischmann earns Mackey Award

Senior tight end Bruin Fleischmann earned the John Mackey Award Tight End of the Week award for his record day at Navy, recording career highs with six catches for 166 yards and matching his career best with a TD reception. Fleischmann's six catches are the most by a Falcon this season and most by a tight end in the Troy Calhoun-era (2007). His 166 yards are the 12th most in program history and most ever by a tight end.

He is second on the team in receptions with 12 and third in receiving yards with 209. He is tied for the team lead with three touchdown receptions. He has a catch in each game this season and has caught a touchdown pass in three straight games.
