IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Air Force freshman Karson Tompkins upended a pair of ranked wrestlers at the Clarion Open to get a number in front of his name. Tompkins is ranked No. 18 by Intermat and No. 24 in the FloWrestling rankings. Tompkins took down No. 11 Seth Shumate (Ohio State) and No. 18 Patrick Brophy (The Citadel) to finish third in the open tournament.

The Falcons return to Clune Arena to host Big 12 powerhouse No. 5 Oklahoma State. Air Force will aim to set a new attendance record with a Pack the House event.

LAST WEEKEND
Air Force won six matches to outscore CSU Pueblo in the 2025-26 dual slate opener, 27-15, Sunday afternoon in Clune Arena. Four Falcons won with bonus points in the home opener.
C3C Brian Burburija and C4C Karson Tompkins led the charge with falls in the respective divisions. Tompkins, the 19th-ranked 197-pounder in the nation, pinned his opponent in just 96 seconds. C3C Carter Nogle posted a technical fall (22-7) at 141, while senior team captain Bryce Shelton posted a major decision (17-6) at 149.
On the second front, Falcons competed at the Mines Rookie Open in Golden, Colorado. Six Air Force wrestlers earned place-winning finishes led by C3C Lincoln Gregersen's championship finish in the 149 division. Other placers were Jake Wood, 2nd (165); Talon McCollom, 2nd (184); Tanner Spalding, 3rd (133); John Jurkovic, 3rd (157); Jesse Vanorden, 5th (157).
