
Air Force beat Army in rifle

U.S AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force rifle team defeated Army in a dual meet Sunday, Nov. 2, in Fairfax, Va. The Falcons shot a season-high 4707 while Army shot a 4695.
Falcon freshman Prisha Thomas shot a collegiate career-best 1179 to lead all shooters in aggregate. Senior team captain Victoria Leppert placed fourth with an 1175, followed by freshman Lily Miller (1170) and sophomore Bethany Butler (1168).
In smallbore, Thomas was third with a career-best 585 while Leppert was fourth at 583. Junior Megan Torrence won the air rifle with a 596, the second-best of her career. Lily Wytko was third with a season-high 594, followed by Leppert at 592.
Air Force is now off until Nov 16 with a home dual against Ohio State at the Cadet Rifle Range.
