BOISE, Idaho -- Senior Jordan Suan became Air Force's all-time Division I digs leader this afternoon (Nov. 22), as the volleyball team wrapped up the 2025 campaign with a 3-0 loss to Boise State on the Broncos' home floor in Idaho. With today's decision, Air Force finished the year with a .500 overall record (15-15) and a 7-11 mark in Mountain West play.
Suan, who entered her final match tied for second on the program's DI standings with Maiya Perich (2009-12) at 1327, accounted for 14 digs over the three-set match to overtake Rebecca Bates (1339, 20212-15) for the top spot in Air Force's Division I history and finish her stellar four-year career with a program-record 1341 digs.
Suan's classmate Ashley Bible also accounted for a "14" in her final collegiate match, as she led the Falcons with that kill total on .244 hitting (14-4-41), as the team fell 15-25, 19-25, 26-28 to the host Broncos. Sophomore Grace Fiaseu led the team in aces (two) and blocks, while classmate Mia Loyd served up the team's remaining ace and rounded out the team's list of stat leaders with 24 assists. In addition to her 14 kills, Bible joined Suan in the double-digit dig total (10) to finish her career with 12 double-doubles.
Boise State scored early and often in the opening moments of the match, jumping out to a fast 13-3 lead. The Falcons tallied three-straight points off kills from Bible and sophomore Alysa Walker, as well as a block from Loyd and senior Alex Hatchett but the Broncos regained a 10-point lead by the 16-6 lead. Another strike from Bible sparked a five-point run by the Falcons, as they narrowed their deficit to 11-16. The senior added two more kills during the run, while Loyd served up an ace. The Falcons received kills from Walker (two), Hatchett, and Fiaseu, but the Broncos regained a 10-point lead for the 25-15 victory.
A pair of kills from Bible interrupted an early 8-3 start by the Broncos in the second, but Air Force quickly responded with a six-point run, Walker put down a pair of kills during that stretch, while Fiaseu registered back-to-back aces that tied the set at eight and gave the Falcons their first lead of the day on the next point (9-8). Boise State retook the advantage, but Air Force stayed close off kills from Hatchett (10-10), Walker (11-12) and Bible (12-13), while Fiaseu put down a kill and teamed up with Bible for a block that kept Air Force within one at the 14-15 mark. Boise State scored four of the next five points, before Air Force collected a pair of stops (Bible/Fiaseu assisted, Hatchett solo) – but the Broncos used another 4-1 run to take the 25-19 and go up 2-0 in the match.
Sophomore Brooksie Isham traded points with Boise State to start the third (2-2), while strikes from Bible and freshman Sonia Okpara helped Air Force to a tie at six-all. Isham posted her third kill of the set, while back-to-back Fiaseu/Okpara blocks gave the Falcons a 10-9 lead. Following a tie at 11, kills from Bible (two) and Hatchett highlighted a 4-0 run that sent Air Force into the media timeout with a 15-11 lead. The Broncos used another 4-1 stretch to pull within one (16-15), but a kill from Bible and back-to-back strikes from Isham pushed the Falcons' advantage out to three at 19-16. Fiaseu tallied a kill and block (with Okpara) on back-to-back plays to break a 19-19 tie, while Bible and Okpara added kills that put Air Force at set-point (24-23). Boise State answered with a tying score and the teams traded the next four scores, with Air Force earning additional set-point chances at 25-24 (BSU serving error) and 26-25 (Walker kill). The Broncos ultimately stopped the back-and-forth play with a three-point run that secured the 28-26 comeback and match victory.
