A Look at the Falcons
-The 125 class is split between Nico Tocci and Bubba Wright who have six starts each. Combined, they are 4-8 on the dual slate with two wins coming by forfeit.
-Gavin Caprella is coming in hot on a two match win streak, he has 17 wins this season (seven in duals) and has wrestled in every dual match for AF at 133 this season. He leads the squad with six technical falls.
-Carter Nogle is one of two AF freshman standouts; he has nine pins in 33:56 for the eighth most in NCAA Div. I wrestling, helping AF to four-straight seasons of having a wrestler in Top 10 pins. Nogle secured his 22nd win of the season against Wyoming's No. 18 Cole brooks and is on a six dual match win streak with eight wins in 12 appearances.
-Freshmen EJ Beloncik and Josh Palacio are in competition for the 157 spot; Beloncik is coming in off a technical fall at CSU Bakersfield while Palacio has won two of his three starts since Jan. 18.
-Alec Viduya (149) and Logan Fowler (165) are expected to take the start in their respective weights this weekend. Fowler is coming in hot off an upset win over Wyoming's No. 32 Cooper Voorhees. Viduya has started in every dual meet this season and is looking to notch a career first Big 12 dual match win.
-Seniors Jack Ganos (174) and team captain Gage Musser (184) have started in every dual meet this season. Ganos will take the mat with a 5-7 dual record and 26 team points to his credit while Musser enters competition winning four of his last six dual bouts. Musser was ranked No. 31 by FloWrestling from Jan. 27 to Feb. 10.
-Air Force's other freshman standout, Brian Burburija, is on a six dual match win streak and has an 8-3 record in duals this season. He leads the team with 38 points scored in duals and was ranked as high as No. 30 earlier this season. He has started all but one dual meet this season.
-Antonio Ramos rounds out the lineup at heavyweight. He has four dual wins in 11 appearances, three of which coming with bonus points. He has started for every meet this season.

A Look at UNC
The Bears are led by coach Troy Nickerson in his 10th season at the reins. Nickerson has led one NCAA Champion in No. 3 Andrew Alirez (141), four All-Americans, three conference champions and 30 national qualifiers. Alirez (11-0), a two-time Big 12 champion, will take on Air Force's shining freshman Carter Nogle (22-11). Junior 133-pounder Dom Serrano (16-2), a Nebraska transfer, is ranked 13th in the nation while NCAA qualifier and blood round participant Vinny Zerban (13-4) is ranked No. 21.

The Falcons will prepare to send their top 10 to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to compete for Big 12 titles at the 2025 Big 12 Wrestling Championships, March 8-9, in Tulsa's BOK Center.

Air Force fell to Big 12 foe Wyoming, 27-9, Friday evening in the Historic Clune Arena. Three Falcons picked up wins in the dual highlighted by an upset in the 141 class. At 133, C3C Gavin Caprella battled back from an early deficit to best R-Jr. Stockton O'Brien, 6-5. Falcon standout freshman Carter Nogle continued his tear through the dual slate in a big way, this time knocking off No. 18 Cole Brooks by decision, 6-3. At 165, freshman Logan Fowler took on R-Sr. No. 32 Cooper Voorhees, scoring a 14-9 decision to upend the Cowboy for his 12th win of the season and first Big 12 dual win of his career.
