
Falcons conclude regular season at TCU

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force rifle team closed out the regular season at the NCAA Qualifier, Saturday, Feb. 22, in Fort Worth, Texas. TCU won the dual, outscoring Air Force, 4733-4717.
Junior Victoria Leppert led the Falcons by placing second overall with a season-high aggregate score of 1187. Senior Lauren Hurley was third with an 1185. Leppert was second with a career-high in smallbore of 589, followed by Hurley (588), Scott Rockett (582), Bethany Butler (580), William Steen (576), Caden Cavanaugh (572), Lily Wytko (571) and Megan Torrence (566).
Leppert won the air rifle with a 598, tying her season high. Hurley was fourth with a 597, followed by Wytko (595), Steen (593, tying career high), Torrence (592), Butler (589), Rockett (589) and Cavanaugh (577).
Air Force, ranked eighth in the nation, will await the NCAA Selection Show on Monday, Feb. 24, at 4 pm MT on NCAA.com to see if the Falcons qualify for the NCAAs.
