
Leppert and Wytko lead Falcons on first day of NCAAs

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Junior Victoria Leppert and freshman Lillian Wytko led Air Force on the first day of the NCAA Rifle Championships, Friday, March 14, at Memorial Coliseum in Lexington, Ky.
Leppert and Wytko each shot a 582 in the smallbore competition. With 36 centers, Wytko was 18th overall
while Leppert, with 27 centers, was 22nd. Senior Lauren Hurley shot a 579, followed by sophomore William Steen at 578 and senior Scott Rockett at 576.
After the smallbore competition, the eight-seeded Falcons are in eighth place shooting a 2321 in smallbore. Top-ranked Alaska leads the field with a 2355. Kentucky, the host school, is second at 2354, followed by West Virginia (2350), TCU (2335), Ole Miss (2333), Georgia Southern (2333) and Murray State (2322).
The final day of the NCAA Championships is the air rifle competition on Saturday, March 15, starting at 8:45 am ET in Lexington, Ky.
