
Falcon Men's Swimming and Diving Slated for WAC Conference Championships

HOUSTON, Tx., - The Air Force men's swimming and diving team head to the CRWC Natatorium to participate in the 2024-25 Western Athletic Conference Championships, from Feb. 26-March 1.
The Falcons will compete against 10 other teams: California Baptist, Grand Canyon, Idaho, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Seattle, UNLV, Utah Tech, and Wyoming.

LAST TIME OUT
The Falcons completed the First Chance Invitational in Denver, Colo., with an impressive 40 top five finishers, with 11 of those claiming top placements.
James Winterfield led the team, notching three first-place finishes. In the 100 freestyle, the junior touched the wall at 44.40, a personal best. Joe Christ followed in fourth, with a time of 44.93.
In the 100 backstroke, Winterfield finished at 48.46 for first place, while Garrett Kennedy took fourth at 49.36.
For his final top placement of the meet, Winterfield clocked a 47.40 finish in the 100 fly, while Daniel Detjen took fourth at 48.68.
Taking first place in the 200 freestyle at 1:39.04, was Camden Swigart. He was trailed by fellow Falcons in third and fourth, Jack Brown (1:39.71) and Tyler Surratt (1:39.80).
Air Force dominated the 100 breaststroke, with Falcons filling the top five spots. Bridon Rosales won the race with a time of 53.80, while Mack Nuval followed in a close second at 54.62. Tanner Wilson (54.81), Tommy Nagle (55.03), and Anthony Sebastian (55.80) filled out third, fourth, and fifth.
Rosales secured his second top finish at the invitational in the 200 breast, touching the wall at 2:01.03. Teammates Sebastian (2:01.91), Swigart (2:02.63), and Cole Wilson (2:04.26) locked in the third, fourth, and fifth placements.
In the 500 free, the top five finishes were filled with Falcons, with Surratt (4:30.22) claiming first and Fiscus (4:35.11) in second. Tucker Rice (4:37.39), Evan Witte (4:40.10), and Jack Brown (4:40.11) took third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.
Brown marked a time of 1:50.73 to finish in the top spot of the 200 backstroke.
Touching the wall at 1:55.85, Nagle completed the 200 IM in first.
In the 100 back, Jacob Bulseco took first at 50.70.
Five top finishers in the 50 freestyle represented Air Force. Dwornicki tacked a time of 20.54 to claim first, with Kai Tiede following close behind in second, at 21.10. Kennedy (21.27), Swigart (21.39), and Gavin Peterman (21.52) marked third, fourth, and fifth place finishes.
Louis Body went for a personal-best in the 200 backstroke, taking a second place finish at 1:46.60. Garrett Kennedy trailed in third, at 1:48.17.
The 400 IM saw Ralph Fiscus claim second after clocking a time of 4:02.31, while teammates Cole Wilson (4:05.22) and Sebastian (4:13.44) followed in third and fifth, respectively.
Chase Dwornicki sealed a third place finish at 20.48 in the 50 free, while Christ touched the wall at 20.53 in fourth.
With a time of 1:52.36 in the 200 IM, Witte finished in third, and C. Wilson trailed in fifth, at 1:53.21.
