Watrall Captures Second-Straight Women’s Epee Gold At NCAA West Regionals

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force fencing hosted the 2025 NCAA West Regional qualifier Saturday afternoon at the Cadet Gym. Sophomore Christina Watrall led the way by capturing first-place in the women's epee.

Air Force had four total medalists on the day. Watrall captured her second-straight women's epee title, going 9-1 in pool competition.

Joining Watrall on the medal podium in women's epee was junior Ellie Kim, who earned a silver. Kim went 8-3 in pool competition.

Air Force also had two medalists in the men's epee. Senior George Gasparovich IV earned silver with seven wins. Junior Omar Emara followed with a bronze, also picking up seven wins on the day.

Air Force returns to action tomorrow, hosting the 2025 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) fencing championships. Competition begins at 9 am MT.
