Liveringhouse leads Falcons on first day of MW Championships

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Junior Eric Liveringhouse matched his career high with a 69 (-3) in the first round of the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championships, Friday, April 25, at the Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell, Ore. Liveringhouse's 69 ties as the best round by a Falcon at the MW Championships since Sunwoo Choi shot a 68 in 2017,
Liveringhouse is tied for ninth among the 55 players as he made six birdies on the day, three on each side. Senior Cameron Kahle birdied his first hole and is tied for 35th with a one-over-par 73. Sophomore Eli Huntington shot 74, followed by junior Ted Davenport (77) and junior Brooks Morrell (80).
San Diego State, ranked 16th in the nation, leads the field after shooting a 269 (-19). New Mexico is second at 278 (-10) and San Jose State is third at 279 (-9). Air Force is 11th at 293 (+5). The 293 is the best at the MW Championships since a 290 in the first round of the 2023 Championships.
The second round of the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championships begins at 9:00 am PT on Saturday, April 26, in Creswell, Ore. Air Force will be part of the first group going off of the first tee.
