Baker leads Falcons on second day of MW Championships

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Sophomore Carson Baker led the Air Force golf team on the second day of the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championships, Saturday, April 26, at the Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell, Ore.
Baker matched his career-best round of 71 (-1), making three birdies with just one bogey as he shot 34-37 on the day. Sophomore Eli Huntington shot 74 in the second round, followed by senior Cameron Kahle and junior Ted Davenport (76) and junior Eric Liveringhouse (77).
San Diego State, ranked 16th in the nation, leads the tournament with a 532 (-44). San Jose State is second (554) and UNLV is third (558). Air Force is in 11th place at (590) as the Falcons shot 293 in the first round and 297 in the second round.
The final round of the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championships begins at 9:00 am PT on Sunday, April 27, in Creswell, Ore. Air Force will be part of the first group going off of the first tee.
