Warfighters to Win: Lt. Col. Letricia Baxley

Lt. Col. Letricia Baxley (Castillo) was a three-year team captain and played 113 career games for the women's basketball team from 2004-07. She is the first female to score 1,000 career points in the Division I era and still ranks ninth in the Division I era and 17th in school history with 1,073 career points. As a freshman, she earned all-Mountain West honorable mention honors as she led the team with 12.0 points per game. A 2007 grad, her 335 points in 2003-04 were the third most by a freshman in school history at the time and still ranks as the fifth most. They were the most ever by a freshman in the Division I era.
Her 113 career games set the school record in the Division I era at the time and still ranks 10th in school history. Her 105 career starts still rank fifth in school history. She still ranks sixth in school history in career three-pointers made and 10th in three-point field goal percentage.
Lt. Col. Baxley has served as a military training officer, human factors and test analyst and as the program manager for Africa Foreign Military Sales and the Upgraded Early Warning Radar Program. She also served as the operations officer and assistant professor of aerospace studies for Detachment 772 at Charleston Southern University and as a program integrator for the KC-46 Program. Most recently, Baxley served as the deputy division chief for acquisition force development in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for acquisition, technology, and logistics where she managed program management actions and the materiel leader and squadron command process at the Pentagon.
Baxley is currently the commander for Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) – Greenville, SC. She is responsible for leading approximately 60 acquisition professionals providing on-site aircraft operations, contracting, engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance expertise in administering defense contracts valued at over $16B with operations encompassing the P-8 Poseidon depot in Indianapolis IN, C-32/C-40 depot maintenance in Atlanta GA, Lockheed Martin F-16 production and C-130/F-16 depot maintenance in Greenville SC, Stevens Aviation C-12/C-26 depot maintenance in Greenville SC, and Gulfstream C-20/C-37 depot maintenance in Savannah GA.
