
Lawrence Rowley Joins Air Force Basketball Staff

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Lawrence Rowley joins the Air Force men's basketball staff as an assistant coach for the 2025-26 season, announced today by head coach Joe Scott. Rowley comes to the Academy from Princeton, where he served as an assistant coach.
During his three seasons at Princeton, Rowley helped lead the Tigers to a 66-25 record. While at Princeton, he was part of the staff that led the Tigers to two Ivy League titles, which included a run to the 2023 NCAA Sweet Sixteen. Rowley worked closely with Caden Pierce, the 2003 Ivy League Rookie of the Year and 2024 Ivy League Player of the Year and Xaivian Lee, a two-time unanimous First Team All-Ivy League selection. In addition, he also coached Tosan Evbuomwan, who is now a member of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets.
Prior to his stint at Princeton, Rowley began his coaching career as a graduate assistant coach at The College of New Jersey from 2021-22. During his time at TCNJ, he was active in recruiting and evaluation of prospective student-athletes. In addition, his responsibilities included practice planning, film breakdown and opponent scouting.
Rowley is a 2021 graduate of Emory University, where he earned Emory Class of 2021 "100 Senior Honorary" – Selected by the Alumni Association for leadership, academics, and community impact. He played three seasons for the Eagles from 2018-21, making 53 starts in 77 career games. He is Emory's all-time field goal percentage leader (.560) and his 479 career rebounds ranks 16th. As a junior, Rowley averaged 13.9 points per game and ranked second in the conference with 8.6 rebounds per game. In 2020, he earned UAA Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors.
Rowley is a native of Ypsilanti, Mich. He played his high school ball for Jay Shunnar at Ann Arbor Huron High School, where he served as team captain his junior and senior seasons.
