USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis released its schedule for the 2025 fall season, announced today by head coach Evan Urbina. Highlights of the schedule include the hosting of the ITA Bedford Cup in the Mountains, the CIC Challenge in Washington, D.C. with both Army and Navy and a closing weekend at Hawaii.
The fall slate gets going Sept. 19-21 with a hidden duals weekend against UC Davis and Nevada in Reno, Nevada.
The following weekend has the Falcons hosting the inaugural ITA Bedford Cup in the Mountains, from Sept. 26-28, in a weekend event that features many of the top tennis programs in the Mountain West region. A quick turnaround follows, as the second-annual Mountain West Tennis Fall Qualifier takes place Oct. 3-6 at the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas.
During the weekend of Oct. 10-12, Air Force competes at the Commander-in-Chief's Challenge, with competition against Army, Navy and Georgetown. The competition will again take place at the prestigious Army Navy Club in Washington, D.C.
The week of Oct. 15-20 features the ITA Fall Mountain Regional, held in Las Vegas.
Air Force next heads up the road to participate in the Colorado Cup, hosted by Denver from Oct. 31-Nov. 2. The fall season wraps-up at the UH Invitational in Honolulu, Hawai'i from Nov. 7-9.
Head coach Evan Urbina on the fall schedule:
"This fall brings incredible opportunities for our cadet-athletes to grow on the court as we pursue our team goals for the year. We'll open our home schedule with the Bedford Cup in the Mountains, September 26–28, and we can't wait to see the Falcon faithful on our beautiful outdoor courts for that weekend. That weekend we'll also celebrate Dan Oosterhous' induction into the Air Force Athletics Hall of Fame. Our team is eager to compete in front of our grads returning for the occasion. October features staple conference and regional events, a chance to compete against some of the top players in the nation. We'll close the fall season by traveling to Washington, D.C. for the Commander-in-Chief's Tennis Challenge at the Army Navy Club, then across town to Denver for the Colorado Cup, and to Hawaii to take on our future conference rivals. Our team is ready for the challenge, and I'm excited to see the progress we'll make this fall."
