Air Force men's tennis opened completed day three competition at the Reno Invite Sunday at the McArthur Tennis Center on the University of Nevada campus in Reno, Nevada.
The Falcons capped the invite with three singles wins, with Caden Lee, Matthew Staton and Alec Fritzinger coming away with the wins.
Lee, a freshman, earned his first collegiate singles win, defeating Anand Vidyuth of UC Davis 4-6, 6-4, 6-1. Staton, a sophomore, defeated Eduardo Gonzalez of UCD in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2. Fritzinger, a junior, defeated Kurt Miller of UCD in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.
Jack Brown, Tyler Leaird and AJ Moore also competed in singles for the Falcons.
"I'm thrilled to have started competition this year," head coach Evan Urbina said. "Coach Nick Castro and I have been excited to see the guys on court against tough opponents. Jack Brown stepped up against better competition and it's great to see his work ethic pay off. Caden Lee getting his first college singles win will give him some confidence for next weekend. Overall, there are good takeaways and things to improve on for next weekend as we host the Bedford Cup. I hope to see the Falcon faithful out supporting the team in our only home tournament this fall!"
Air Force returns to action next weekend, hosting the Bedford Cup in the Mountains from Fri.-Sun., Sept. 26-28.
