
Falcons place second at quad meet in Georgia

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force rifle team placed second at a quad meet hosted by Georgia Southern, Sunday, Jan. 18, in Statesboro, Ga.
Georgia Southern, ranked second in the nation, won the meet with a 4729. Air Force was second with a 4685, followed by The Citadel men (4559) and The Citadel women (4444).
Falcon freshman Prisha Thomas led Air Force with a fourth-place finish in aggregate with an 1176. Junior Megan Torrence was fifth overall at 1175 and senior Victoria Leppert was eighth at 1169.
In smallbore, Thomas was fourth (582), followed by Torrence (579), Lily Miller (578) and Leppert (577).
In air rifle, Torrence was second (596), followed by Lily Wytko (595) and Thomas (tied career high 594).
Air Force travels to UTEP for a dual meet on Saturday, Jan. 24, in El Paso, Texas.
