SEATTLE -- Victories from sophomore Sela Panuve and junior Samantha Villa gave the Air Force boxing team a perfect 2-0 start to the WAC Main Event on Friday [Jan. 30] night in Seattle. The pair, who both won by decision, were the only two Falcons to compete on the first night of action at the Washington Athletic Club,
Panuve, the reigning national champion at 156 pounds, claimed a unanimous decision in her 147-pound bout with West Virginia's Mya Kockel, while Villa earned a 2-1 victory in her 125-pound contest with Washington's Apple Tran,
The Falcons continue action in Seattle on Saturday, Jan. 31.
