
Fencing Assistant Coach Sebastien Dos Santos Named USA Fencing Women’s Epee National Coach

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force fencing assistant coach Sebastien Dos Santos was named the USA Fencing Women's Epee National Coach, announced recently by USA Fencing. Dos Santos is a five-time Olympic coach, who previously worked with USA Fencing for 12 years from 2009-21.
Most recently, Dos Santos earned the 2025 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Assistant Coach of the Year, while working with epee group with Air Force Fencing. In 2024-25, he helped produce three NCAA qualifiers in Omar Emara, Ellie Kim and Christina Watrall. Watrall was the 2025 West Regional and MPSF women's epee gold medalist. Emara was the MPSF men's epee gold medalist. The women's epee group of Kim and Watrall secured the gold and silver medals at both the NCAA West Regional and MPSF Championships. The men's group of George Gasparovich IV and Emara helped secure silver and bronze medals in men's epee at the West Regional.
Dos Santos has 27 years of international coaching experience across three countries and five Olympic Games. His track record includes the first-ever Senior World Championship gold for USA men's epee in 2012, and he served as Director of Epee when the U.S. women captured their historic 2018 World Championship team title.
He will continue to work with Air Force fencing, in addition to his duties with USA Fencing.
