
Watrall Finishes Third In Women’s Epee To Lead Air Force at February NAC

Air Force completed competition at the 2026 USA Fencing February North American Cup, held Feb. 12-16, at Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Junior Christina Watrall led the way with a third place finish in the Div. I women's epee.
Our of a field of 130, Watrall made it through to the semifinals of the direct elimination bracket. Watrall went 5-1 in the bracket competition.
Air Force had every single competitor finish in the top 100 in their respective events, with six top-50 finishes.
Freshman Byung Kim opened the weekend by taking 29th in the Div. I men's epee out of a field of 203. Kim posted a pair of wins in the direct elimination bracket, reaching the round of 32.
Freshman Andrei Nazlymov had a pair of top 50 finishes, placing 28th inthe Div. I men's saber, out of a field of 212. He also placed 37th in the Junior men's saber out of a field of 207.
In Div. I men's foil, freshman Richard Li placed 48th out of a field of 253. Li also finished 40th in the junior men's foil, out of a field of 313.
Air Force returns to action March 7 at the NCAA Western Regionals and March 8 at the MPSF Championships, both held in San Antonio, Texas.
