
Air Force Women Finish 19th At 2026 NCAA Fencing Championships

Air Force women's fencing placed 19th in team competition at the 2026 NCAA Fencing Championships, which wrapped the women's portion of competition Friday, March 20, at the Castellan Family Fencing Facility and Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center on the campus of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.
Senior Melissa Kline and junior Christina Watrall combined for 11 points for the Falcons.
Kline placed 18th in women's foil, tallying seven wins across Thursday and Friday competition. Watrall finished 24th in women's epee, with four wins.
Host Notre Dame captured the title with 102 points.
Air Force resumes competition at the NCAA's with the men's portion of competition Saturday and Sunday. Three Falcons, senior Jack Griffith (foil) and freshmen Richard Li (foil) and Andrei Nazlymov (saber) will compete starting tomorrow.
