
Falcon Wrestling Heads to Tulsa for Big 12 Championship

Big 12 Championship presented by Allstate
March 6-7 | BOK Center | Tulsa, Okla.
Last year's Big 12 Wrestling Championship broke Conference attendance records with 21,309 fans filling the BOK Center over two days. Oklahoma State won last year's event in thrilling fashion, clinching the title in the final match of the weekend.
All 14 Conference programs will compete in Tulsa for Big 12 titles and berths in the 2026 NCAA Wrestling Championships at Rocket Arena in Cleveland. Legacy Big 12 wrestling members Arizona State, Iowa State, Oklahoma State and West Virginia are joined by affiliate programs from Air Force, Cal Baptist, Missouri, North Dakota State, Oklahoma, South Dakota State, Northern Iowa, Northern Colorado, Utah Valley and Wyoming.

Owens splashed onto the national scene as a freshman, earning an automatic NCAA tournament qualification — the first Falcons 125-pounder since 2013 to accomplish the feat. Now, as the team's only returning national qualifier, Owens rolls into Tulsa with a 19-5 record, including 10-2 in duals. Owens, ranked 31st, ended the regular season with five
consecutive wins and a 60 percent bonus-point rate in that span. Owens will serve as a Space Force officer upon graduation.

Big 12 Championship competitors who battle to NCAA Wrestling Championship berths will punch a ticket to Cleveland's Rocket Arena for a chance to battle to All-American or national champion, March 19-21.
Big 12 Athlete of the Week
With a pair of wins over Conference foes at 141 pounds, Air Force's Carter Nogle was selected as the Big 12 Wrestler of the Week. The sophomore opened his week with a top-20 victory and then helped propel the Falcons to a win over Cal Baptist.
Nogle defeated No. 18 Haiden Drury from Utah Valley after scoring a takedown in the first period. He clinched the win over the NCAA qualifier with a decisive two-minute ride, from the top position, in the final period. The Laurel, Maryland native capped a successful weekend with a commanding 10-1 major decision over CBU's Jesse Vasquez, who was coming off a top-20 victory of his own versus Arizona State.
Nogle is the first Falcon to win the weekly honor since Sidney Flores in 2022, and is the second all-time Air Force wrestler to earn the nod.

Big 12 Athlete of the Week
With a pair of wins over Conference foes at 141 pounds, Air Force's Carter Nogle was selected as the Big 12 Wrestler of the Week. The sophomore opened his week with a top-20 victory and then helped propel the Falcons to a win over Cal Baptist.
Nogle defeated No. 18 Haiden Drury from Utah Valley after scoring a takedown in the first period. He clinched the win over the NCAA qualifier with a decisive two-minute ride, from the top position, in the final period. The Laurel, Maryland native capped a successful weekend with a commanding 10-1 major decision over CBU's Jesse Vasquez, who was coming off a top-20 victory of his own versus Arizona State.
Nogle is the first Falcon to win the weekly honor since Sidney Flores in 2022, and is the second all-time Air Force wrestler to earn the nod.
