
Air Force Flies Past Oral Roberts, 6-1

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis defeated Oral Roberts (9-14), 6-1, in non-conference play Friday afternoon at the USAFA Indoor Tennis Courts. The Falcons improved to 7-10 on the season.
The Falcons earned the doubles point and went 5-1 in singles play.
Air Force opened with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles for the opening point. AJ Moore and Langdon Tingleaf won at No. 1 over Couy/Filho 6-3. Tyler Leaird and Caden Lee won at No. 2 over Cheek/Pensavalle 6-3 to clinch the point.
In singles, the Falcons won the first four matches to coast to the win. Alec Fritzinger earned the first singles point with a win at No. 3 over Rodrigo Guijarro in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. Langdon Tingleaf made it 3-0 Falcons with a win at No. 2 over Luis Marcos Bonifasi in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.
Matthew Staton then won at No. 4 over Parv Nage in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2 for the clinching win. AJ Moore and Tyler Leaird also picked up wins. Moore won at No. 1 over Ricardo Filho in straight sets 7-5, 6-3. Leaird won at No. 5 over Pigus Reklevicius 6-4, 6-4.
"Strong starts by our doubles teams set us up well today," head coach Evan Urbina said. "I was grateful for sustained energy throughout the match, and it was awesome to see our full team compete. Go Falcons!"
Air Force returns to action Thursday, April 9, at UNLV.
