Eric Brennan Joins Air Force Men’s Basketball Staff

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Eric Brennan has been tabbed as an assistant coach for Air Force men's basketball for the 2026-27 season, announced today by head coach Joe Crispin. Brennan comes to the Academy after three seasons as the head coach at Rowan University.
"I am excited to welcome Eric Brennan to the Academy," Crispin said. "We have had the pleasure of building one program together and are looking forward to doing so again. He understands our vision and will help us gather and train a great group of young men to Fly, fight, and win!"
Brennan was the head coach at Rowan from 2023-26. He spent eight years overall at Rowan, as he was also on the staff of current Air Force head coach Joe Crispin, who was the head coach at Rowan during the 2018-23 seasons.
In his first campaign guiding the Profs in 2023-24, Rowan went 21-8 overall and reached the NCAA Sweet Sixteen for the second year in a row. The team finished with a No. 15 ranking by D3Hoops.com, the highest national ranking at Rowan in 24 seasons. The Profs earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, and won the first two games before defeating top-ranked Hampden-Sydney in the third round. In NJAC play, Brennan guided the squad to a 13-5 conference record and its second straight regular-season title. Brennan received D3hoops.com Region 4 coach of the year honors. In addition, he and his assistant coaches were named the 2024 NJAC John K. Adams Coaching Staff of the Year.
Brennan was named interim head coach in 2023 after serving as an assistant coach for five years on the Rowan staff. In the four seasons of competition (2020-21 was canceled due to pandemic), Rowan compiled an 84-31 record, won two conference championships and made three NCAA Tournament appearances. In 2022-23, Rowan won the NJAC title and reached the NCAA Sweet 16, marking the furthest advancement in the tournament since 1997-98, while ending the year ranked 17th nationally.
He started his coaching career at Philadelphia University (now Jefferson) under Hall of Fame coach Herb Magee, where the Rams won three conference titles and participated in the NCAA Tournament four times.
Brennan's collegiate playing career included two years at Kutztown University (2010-12) where he earned first-team All-PSAC honors and was named the team's MVP in 2012. He began his career playing for Lock Haven University and was also a first-team All-PSAC selection there. Upon graduation, he played professionally in Finland for a season.
A 2012 graduate of Kutztown University, Brennan earned an MBA from Gwynedd Mercy University in 2018 and received his doctorate in higher education from Rowan in May 2024.
He and his wife, Jessica, have a young son, Silas.
