
Capt. Aubrey Ridgeway Joins Air Force Men’s Basketball Staff

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Capt. Aubrey Ridgeway has been named an director of operations for Air Force men's basketball for the 2026-27 season, announced today by head coach Joe Crispin.
Ridgeway returns to academy after completing an assignment as the director of operations, 39th Maintenance Squadron, 39th Weapons System Security Group, 39th Air Base Wing, Incirlink Air Base, Turkiye. As the director of operations, Ridgeway was responsible for the Air Force's only surety-capable MXS, comprised of 100 Airmen across 24 Air Force Specialties and five flights, overseeing United States European Command's Protection Level-1 maintenance and storage capability valued at $1.3B. Provides back-shop aircraft maintenance capabilities, such as aerospace ground equipment, cryogenics, and recovery of crashed, damaged or disabled aircraft to US & Allied aircraft.
Ridgeway was commissioned in May of 2021 as a Graduate of the United States Air Force Academy as a Munitions & Missile Maintenance Officer. She has served as a flight commander in both the conventional and nuclear shred of her career field. Prior to her assignment at Incirlink, she was the flight commander at 1st SOMUNS at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base, FL. Before transitioning to be the Director of Operations for 39th MXS she was the Special Weapons Flight Commander for the 39th MXS.
Ridgeway is a 2021 USAFA graduate and was a four-year letterwinner with the track and field program. Ridgeway was a team captain as a senior. Her specialty was the 200-meter dash, where she set the then-Academy record in the indoor 200-meter dash with a program-best time of 24.66. That time was also an Academy freshman record. She went on to drop the school record to 24.64 as a senior.
