C2C Annika Jost Honored on 2026 IWSOC/United Soccer Coaches Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Player to Watch List

KANSAS CITY, Mo., - C2C Annika Jost has been honored on the 2026 IWSOC/United Soccer Coaches Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Player to Watch List, as announced by officials on Wednesday.
Jost helped lead the Falcons to their most successful season in recent history, earning eight overall wins and six Mountain West victories to mark Air Force's best regular season finish since 1995. The Temecula, Calif., native became just the second Falcon in program history to earn Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year honors and the 10th women's athlete in Academy history to claim a conference player of the year award. Jost also etched her name in the Air Force record books, ranking sixth all-time with 10 goals in a single season and eighth with 25 points. She capped her standout campaign by recording the Falcons' first hat trick since 2021, finding the net three times against San Jose State.
So far this preseason, Jost has also been named to the Mountain West Preseason Watch List and the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Midfielders to Watch List.
The Hermann Trophy is presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club and is the nation's highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year as determined by voting of Division I head coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches. It is named in honor of the late Robert Hermann, the legendary St. Louis, Mo., businessman and soccer executive who founded the National Professional Soccer League, the first pro soccer league in the United States which became the North American Soccer League. He was inducted in the U.S. Soccer Hall of Fame in 2012.
The 2026 watch list was compiled by members of the Division I Women's All-America Council from a list of returning 2025 All-Americans and First Team All-Region players. A total of 15 players will be named 2026 Hermann Trophy semifinalists on December 4 at the conclusion of NCAA Division I All-American voting. From that list, head coaches will cast votes, and three players will be named finalists. The 2026 recipient will be announced January 8, 2027, in a ceremony at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis, Mo.
There were 65 NCAA Division I soccer players named to the watch list.
