C4C Hunter Anderson Wins Pair of Mountain West Weekly Awards

LAS VEGAS – Air Force goalkeeper Hunter Anderson was selected as the MW Defensive Player and Freshman of the Week, while UNLV sophomore forward Maxim Scordo has been named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week. Anderson's accomplishments will be immortalized as the first double weekly award winner in the newly minted MW Men's Soccer Conference.
Anderson was exceptional in the opening week of men's soccer, defending to a pair of draws on the road, including a tie against service academy rival Army West Point in front of a rowdy crowd of USMA Cadets. He made 16 saves in two matches and concluded the weekend with an impressive .941 save percentage. Anderson was stellar in the shutout of Marist, making 10 saves on the game to keep Air Force unbeaten.
Anderson's weekly honor marks the first for Air Force since 2022.

Freshman, Goalkeeper, Lake Stevens, Washington/Lake Stevens HS
- Helped Air Force to an unbeaten record to start the season with a 1-1 draw against Army and a 0-0 draw against Marist.
- Limited opponents to one goal and posted 16 shots in 180 minutes of action in goal.
- Recorded a shutout against Marist with 10 saves.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MAXIM SCORDO, UNLV
Sophomore, Forward, Newport, California/Dayton
- Led UNLV to a 2-1 win over CSUN to open the 2026 campaign.
- Netted a brace for four points in the season-opening victory.
- Tallied four shots in 59 minutes of action.
