Falcons Open 2026-27 Season at Commander-in-Chief’s Challenge

Air Force women's tennis opens its 2026-27 season this weekend at the Commander-in-Chief's Tennis Challenge, Sept. 11-13, in Washington, D.C.
Entering their fourth season under head coach Taylor Hollander, the Falcons will compete against fellow service academies Army West Point and Navy, along with Georgetown, in three days of singles and doubles action.
Air Force returns an experienced group highlighted by junior Shivaani Selvan, a 2026 Mountain West All-Doubles selection, and senior Nadia Kojonroj, a 2025 All-Mountain West Doubles selection. The Falcons also return sophomore Jariahlyn Rhoades and junior Maya Michalski, who combined for a 10-2 dual doubles record last season.
The Falcons will also get their first look at five members of the Class of 2030 as Air Force begins its fall competition slate.
Commander-in-Chief's Tennis Challenge:
Competition begins Friday, Sept. 11, and continues through Sunday, Sept. 13, with Air Force, Army, Navy and Georgetown competing in singles and doubles action.

"I'm really excited for our team to compete in our first tournament of the year at the Commanders Cup this weekend. Army, Navy, and Georgetown are all tough programs, and Bill Slenker and Randy Rowley do an outstanding job putting together such a professional and competitive event. It's a tournament our team looks forward to every year, and we're honored to be a part of it. For us, the focus is simple: fight, bring energy, and continue building who we are as a team. I want to see the players take what we've been working on in practice and carry it into competition, while continuing to build confidence and trust in each other. I'm also excited to watch our freshmen experience their first tournament and learn what it means to and represent our program at the standard we expect, regardless of the opponent. This weekend is a great opportunity for us to see where we are and continue taking the next step as a team."
