Air Force With Six Wins Against Georgetown Saturday At CIC Challenge

Air Force men's tennis picked up six wins in a hidden dual contest against Georgetown Saturday at the Commander-In-Chief's Challenge at the Army Navy Club in Washington, DC. The Falcons swept the doubles competition and also had three singles wins.
In doubles, Tyler Leaird and Caden Lee won 7-6 (7). Langdon Tingleaf and Muyang Yi won 6-3 and Alec Fritzinger and Jaden Woller-Li won 6-4.
In singles, Fritzinger won over Jacob Mann 7-5, 5-7, 10-7. Yi won over Rush Slivjanovski 6-3, 4-6, 10-8. Caleb Chow also won in singles over Hank Williams 6-1, 5-7, 10-7.

"Georgetown is a tough, well-coached team, and I was proud of the way our team started in doubles. We were able to build on yesterday's matches and handled the ebb and flow of the sets, and specifically Tyler and Caden both hit some confident serves and volleys late in the tiebreak to win. In singles, 5 of 6 matches went to a third set tiebreak, and all of those breakers were close. Alec was the last match on, and Coach Irmischer did a great job helping him bounce back from a break down in the first. By the end of the match, he was hitting as well as I've seen him hit over the course of his career at the Academy! Also proud of Muyang for stepping up and ripping some forehands in some big moments in his breaker. Caleb wore down his opponent with great shot making and kept him on the run. Still looking to improve as we face Army tomorrow morning!"
The Falcons return to action Sunday facing Army. Competition begins at 10:30 am ET.
