Air Force With Seven Wins Against Army Sunday At CIC Challenge

Air Force men's tennis picked up seven wins in a hidden dual contest against Army Sunday at the Commander-In-Chief's Challenge at the Army Navy Club in Washington, DC. The Falcons won two doubles and five singles contests to cap the weekend.

In doubles, Tyler Leaird and Caden Lee won 6-2. Langdon Tingleaf and Muyang Yi won 6-2.

In singles, Tingleaf defeated Jimin Jung in straight sets 6-2, 6-3. Matthew Staton won in straight sets over Matias Feoli 7-5, 6-3. Yi won in straight sets over David McDonald 6-3, 6-4. Leaird won in straight sets over Jackson Hinderberger 6-3, 6-3. Caleb Chow also won in straight sets over Grady Callahan 6-1, 6-1.

"It has been a great tournament for the Falcons! I know the team enjoyed playing alongside the women's tennis team and we appreciated their support. Huge congrats to two of our new players, Muyang and Caleb, and sophomore Caden Lee, for going undefeated this weekend. We talked as a team about mental toughness today on day three, and I am proud of how we competed. You can also see that since we've started our practices the team has been putting in the work. Thanks to grads Pete Hays, Tony Krawietz, JT Palmer, Alex Beaussart, Lance Wilhelm, and Natasha Rizvi along with the parents and families for the great cheering section this weekend. We look forward to competing at home at the Bedford Cup in the Mountains next weekend, go Falcons!
