JUNIOR YEAR | 2018: Competed in two meets...clocked an 8K time of 26:07.0 to finish within the top 50 at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open (46th of 154)...opened the season with a 5K time of 16:53.0 at the Wyoming Invitational (58th)...Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2017: Competed in four meets, including the Mountain West Championships...posted a season-best 8K time of 25:06.8 to finish 37th at the conference meet...was the top Air Force finisher in two other 8K races...earned a top-10 finish at the Woody Greeno Invitational (26:18.4, ninth)...placed 13th out of 127 runners at the Rocky Mountain Shootout (26:34.8)...opened the season with a 38th-place finish at the Colorado State Invitational (5K time of 15:41.5)...academic all-conference selection...Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2016: Raced at the Colorado State Invitational, finishing the 5K course in a time of 16:43.8 (106th)...Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.

PERSONAL: Full name is Marshall Ryan Wheeler...nickname is “Brakes”...son of Mark and Susan Wheeler...father played soccer for Northwest Nazarene University...has one older sister...majoring in systems engineering...future plans include becoming a pilot and business owner...served as Squadron Honor Officer and Element Leader...named to the Dean’s List every semester...member of the “500 Club” for recording a perfect score on the AFT...hobbies include looking for more adversity to overcome, working with teammate Teri Brady to create the ultimate sock collection and dabbling in dorm room cooking...enjoys being a “nice guy”...recently found a new passion for bread with teammate Patrick Sullivan...family lived on a sailboat in the Caribbean for 18 months when he was younger...studied geochemistry over the summer during an internship with Queen’s University...also worked logistics during Basic Cadet Training...would like to add “I am proud to be given the opportunity to run for the Falcons”...member of Cadet Squadron 12.
