JUNIOR YEAR | 2018: Competed in five meets, including the conference and regional championship events...opened the season with a top-20 finish at the Wyoming Invitational (5K time of 18:56.3, 17th)...posted a career-best 6K time of 21:10.9 to finish 43rd out of 135 runners at the NCAA Mountain Regional...placed within the top half of the field at the Pre-National Invitational (21:52.5, 103rd)...clocked a time of 22:01.1 at the Nuttycombe Invitational (172nd)...finished within the top 40 at the Mountain West Championships (22:23.7, 37th).
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2017: Participated in four meets, including the conference championships...posted a personal-best 6K time of 21:58.0 at the Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational (170th)...completed the 6K course at the Mountain West Championships in a time of 23:48.6 (70th)...clocked a 5K time of 18:45.5 to finish 28th out of 90 runners at the season-opening Colorado State Invitational...posted a season-best time in that distance at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational (18:01.0, 103rd).
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2016: Did not compete.
MAJOR TRACK AND FIELD HIGHLIGHTS: Clocked the fourth-fastest 10,000-meter time in Academy history (34:16.60) at the Stanford Invitational in 2019...NCAA qualifier in that event...also impacted the program’s all-time standings in the 5000-meter run during both the indoor and outdoor seasons as a junior...clocked the fourth-fastest indoor time (16:38.03) at the Husky Classic...recorded the eighth-fastest outdoor time (16:45.04) at the Drake Relays.
HIGH SCHOOL: Punahou School...four-time all-state selection in cross country (2012-15)...placed within the top-five of the state meet every year (third in 2012, fifth in 2013-14, second in 2015)...helped Punahou’s cross country team to four straight state titles...also helped track and field team to the state title in 2013...two-time runner-up in the 3000-meter run at the Hawaii state track and field championships (2013-14)...finished second in the 1500-meter run at the 2015 state meet...also placed fourth in the 800-meter run and ran on the 4x400-meter relay that took fifth at that meet...finished third in the 1500-meter run and fifth in the 3000-meter run at the 2016 championships...member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: Full name is Teresa Elizabeth Brady...goes by Teri...nicknames are “10k Twinkie” and “GORD”...daughter on Con and Mary Brady...father is a 1981 Academy graduate and flew F-15s...mother ran cross country and track for the University of Hawaii...has two older sisters, Elli and Katie...Elli competed in cross country and track at Notre Dame, while Katie played soccer at Fairfield University...also has two younger siblings, Conal and Georgi...Conal is a member of the football team at St. John’s University in Minnesota...majoring in biology...future plans include becoming a pilot or attending medical school...served as Character Officer for squadron (“AKA: Assistant to Wing Character Officer Lindsey Blanks”)...named to the Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s List...hobbies include spending way too much money on pineapple curry, getting upset if teammates help themselves to her crab rangoon appetizers, putting bananas in her backpack and forgetting about them until they are squished/smeared all over her belongings, getting overly excited about mini Hydro-Flasks, eating pre-PR cookies, getting triggered by Oxford comma conversations and eating free samples at Costco, Kneaders and Great Harvest...”it’s a beautiful day to save lives” – Derek Shepherd...favorite foods are “cheese, cake and cheesecake”...would like to add “go follow 10K_Twinkies on Instagram”...played soccer (goalkeeper) for 12 years with Hawaii Rush G98...completed the Academy’s powered flight program over the summer...also played with baby goats and worked Basic Cadet Training...member of Cadet Squadron 14.
