Experience Tennis at the Academy
Air Force Tennis Camp is designed for players ranging from beginner through advanced levels and provides an opportunity to train at the United States Air Force Academy.
Campers work with Air Force Tennis coaches and experienced instructors while developing stroke technique, footwork, strategy, match play and competitive confidence.
Players are grouped according to ability so instruction and competition can be tailored to each camper's developmental level.
Training Priorities
Technical instruction, match play and conditioning form the foundation of the Air Force Tennis Camp experience.
Full-Day & Half-Day Tennis
Choose the program designed for your camper's age while receiving instruction from the Air Force Tennis staff.
Full-Day Tennis Camp
Full-day campers receive comprehensive tennis instruction throughout the week while developing every aspect of their game.
Training includes forehands, backhands, serving, returning, volleys, footwork, court positioning, singles and doubles strategy, match play and conditioning.
Players are grouped according to skill level to create appropriate instruction and competition.
Half-Day Tennis Camp
The half-day program introduces younger players to the fundamentals needed to build a strong tennis foundation.
Instruction focuses on stroke mechanics, movement, court awareness, scoring, sportsmanship and age-appropriate competition.
The half-day program is commuter-only.
Two Weeks to Choose From
Both sessions provide the same Air Force Tennis development experience.
June 14–18
Session 1 begins Monday, June 14 and concludes Friday, June 18.
Full-day boarders and campers required to complete Sunday arrival procedures should follow Sports Camps check-in instructions.

Session 2 begins Monday, June 21 and concludes Friday, June 25.

Complete Tennis Development
Develop the technical, tactical and competitive skills needed to become a more complete tennis player.
Build Your Strokes
Campers receive instruction in forehands, backhands, serves, returns, volleys, overheads and footwork.
Training emphasizes sound mechanics, consistency, movement and the ability to execute strokes under pressure.
Match Play & Strategy
Players apply technical skills through point play, singles and doubles competition.
Instruction includes court positioning, shot selection, tactical decision-making, scoring, mental approach and match strategy.

Skill Levels
Air Force Tennis Camp welcomes players ranging from beginner through advanced levels.
Full-Day Ages
The full-day program is designed for tennis players ages 12–18.
Half-Day Ages
The half-day commuter program is designed for younger players ages 8–11.
Boarder Age
Overnight campers must be at least 12 years old.
Player Groups
Campers are grouped according to ability to provide appropriate instruction and competitive opportunities.
Camp Focus
Tennis Camp emphasizes stroke development, match play, strategy and physical conditioning.
Tennis Equipment
Bring the equipment and apparel needed for daily tennis training and changing Colorado summer conditions.
Required Equipment
Campers should bring their own tennis racquet, tennis shoes, athletic shorts, shirts and enough athletic socks for daily training.
A second racquet is recommended when available.
Colorado Summer
Campers should bring a personal water bottle, sunscreen, hat or visor and weather-appropriate clothing.
A light jacket or rain gear is recommended because summer weather at the Academy can change quickly.
