PERSONAL: Member of Cadet Squadron 30…full name is Katie Kaneki Beavis…daughter of Pete and Amy Beavis…father served in the Coast Guard after graduating from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, where he was on the school’s sailing team…mother played soccer at the University of Washington…has one older brother, Josh, who is a member of the sailing team at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy…also has one younger brother…majoring in biology…earning a minor in Spanish…future plans include becoming a physician…named to the Commandant’s List for excellence in military performance…also named to the Dean’s List…currently serving as a PEER for squadron…earning Jump Wings over the summer after completing Airmanship 490…also took part in Combat Survival Training…hobbies include surfing…loves Taylor Swift….graduated from Manasquan High School.
