Pederson, from Apple Valley, CA, is a freshman on the co-ed cheerleading team. Prior to the Academy, he was a prior enlisted airman stationed at Hurlburt Field, FL under the 505th Combat Training Squadron as a Command-and-Control Battle Management Operator. While stationed at the 505th CTS, Pederson won Airman of the quarter at the squadron and group level along with recognition from Commander of Air Combat Command, General Mark Kelly, for his work during various exercises. This previous year he attended the Air Force Academy Preparatory School, where he held squadron leadership positions as Alpha Squadron Director of Operations and Standards and Evaluations NCOIC. Pederson planning on pursuing a major in systems engineering with a focus in Human Factors.
