Born in Sacile, Italy. Kayla comes from a military family. She attended both Palmer Ridge High School and Aviano High School. Her parents are Eva Friend, Andrew Friend, and Ryan Graney. She has one sister, Madelyn and two brothers, Dylan and Bryce. Along with being a high school cheerleader and captain, Kayla also cheered competitively with the all-star gym, Cheer Central Suns- Denver, CO. She is a UCA All-American Cheerleader and was first-team all-conference (PPAC) and first-team All-Europe (DoDEA). Kayla competed as a back spot and tumbler throughout high school and all-star. She is a member of Cadet Squadron 29 and the USAFA Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is considering Biology as her major.
