MAJOR TRACK AND FIELD HIGHLIGHTS: Three-time All-American in the 800-meter run...earned first-team honors at both the indoor (eighth) and outdoor (sixth) NCAA Championships as a junior...claimed second-team status in 2018 after finishing 15th at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Championships...four time NCAA qualifier at 800 meters...two-time Mountain West Athlete of the Year (2019 indoor, 2019 outdoor)...four-time MW champion...swept the 800-meter titles at the 2019 indoor and outdoor championships...anchored the 4x400-meter relay that won the 2019 outdoor title and ran third on the relay that claimed the 2018 indoor title...five-time all-conference selection...holds the indoor (1:47.22a) and outdoor (1:46.58) Academy Records in the 800-meter run...raw indoor time of 1:47.82 is the second-fastest time in Mountain West Indoor history and a new MW Championship Meet Record....outdoor 800-meter time of 1:46.58 is also the second-fastest mark in Mountain West Outdoor history...holds the Air Force Freshman, Sophomore and Junior Class Records in that event...anchored the Academy Record-setting sprint medley relay (3:19.33) that won the 2019 Drake Relays...earned the team’s Newcomer of the Year award as a freshman and the Most Outstanding Performer award as a junior.

HIGH SCHOOL: Inglemoor High School...won the 400-meter dash at the Washington 4A state track and field championships as a junior...placed second in that event as a senior...clocked a career-best 400-meter time of 48.21 at the 2016 state meet.

PERSONAL: Son of Dean and Liz Rhoads...nickname is “Little Mike”...has one older sister and one younger brother...majoring in management...post-Air Force plans includes becoming a professional duck spotter and general duck enthusiast...hobbies include “practicing techniques for downhill waterskiing, knitting, alchemy and partaking in asparagus-growing competitions”...once had a pet crow...member of Cadet Squadron 16.
