JUNIOR YEAR | 2021: Competed in two races…clocked a four-mile time of 20:14.4 to finish third at the Air Force Open…added a personal-best 8K time of 25:08.9 at the Bill Dellinger Invitational (107th) …Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2020: Did not compete during the pandemic-shortened season…academic all-conference selection…Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2019: Competed in three meets...made collegiate debut at the Air Force Open, clocking a four-mile time of 21:27.9 to finish 16th...posted an 8K distance of 26:03.0 to finish 47th out of 237 runners at the Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invitational...also raced that distance at the UCCS Open (26:11.0, 49th)...academic all-conference selection.
HIGH SCHOOL: Notre Dame Preparatory School...all-state selection...regional champion as a senior, after earning runner-up honors as a junior...earned all-region honors three times...two-time all-county selection...also played varsity ice hockey as a freshman and sophomore...graduated with highest honors...valedictorian.
PERSONAL: First name is Nicholas, but goes by Niko…nicknames are “Squealz” and “Tweeko”...son of Neil and Renee Fraser...mother ran cross country and track at the University of Detroit...has one older brother, Brendan, who was a member of the track and cross country teams at the University of Notre Dame...also has two younger sisters...majoring in biology...future plans include becoming a physician…named to the Superintendent’s List for excellence in military, academic and athletic performance...hobbies include playing Club Penguin, fishing and golfing...once solved a Rubik’s Cube...is the “Babe Ruth of backyard wiffle ball”...favorite movie is “Step-Brothers”...once played Monopoly with his brother for 36 hours straight...spent the 2018-19 academic year at the University of Wisconsin…completed a research project and worked Basic Cadet Training over the summer…member of Cadet Squadron 05.
