JUNIOR YEAR | 2024: Competed in the season-opening Air Force Classic…clocked a five-mile time of 25:08.7 to finish fourth.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2023: Raced in three Colorado-based meets…Air Force’s No. 3 runner during the Falcons’ team title at the Roadrunner Invitational…clocked a career-best 8K time of 25:19.12 to finish eighth out of 108 runners at that meet…placed 29th out of 111 runners at the UCCS Open (26:10.0)…opened the season with a five-mile time of 27:34 at the Air Force Classic (13th).
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2022: Competed in three meets…clocked a personal-best 8K time of 26:04.4 to finish 76th out of 323 runners at the Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invitational…added a time of 26:45.5 during a top-25 performance at the UCCS Open (22nd)…made collegiate debut at the Air Force Classic, posting a four-mile time of 22:51.
MAJOR TRACK AND FIELD HIGHLIGHTS: Led off the 4x1600-meter team that won 2023 Drake Relays with an Academy Record time of 16:23.31.
HIGH SCHOOL: Denmark High School…Georgia Gatorade Cross Country Runner of the Year in 2021…Georgia 7A state cross country champion as a senior…Eastbay South Region Champion…earned an All-American finish at Eastbay Nationals…Powerade All-Metro Runner of the Year…three-time state champion in track (1600-meter run, 3200-meter run, 4x800-meter relay)…member of the school record-setting 4x800-meter relay team.
PERSONAL: Full name is Ethan Josiah Ashley…son of David and Gina Ashley…nickname is “Code”…has two younger brothers…majoring in economics…future plans include becoming a missionary…hobbies include running, hiking, spikeball, watching movies, anything outdoors, and bowling with his brothers…can solve a Rubik's Cube in under one minute…grandfather graduated from West Point…favorite Bible verse is John 3:30…served as cadre at Jack’s Valley during Basic Cadet Training over the summer…also worked spots camps…member of Cadet Squadron 04.
