2011-12: Nelson won the Nick Toth Open senior women[apos]s saber tournament. Seeded first, Nelson won the gold medal bout, 15-8, against her opponent against her opponent. Nelson finished the day with a 5-0 bout record.
2010-11: NCAA National Championship qualifier ... finished 23rd ... was the women[apos]s saber NCAA West Region champion ... won the Nick Toth Open 15-5 championship bout score ... won the Amarillo Open as the No. 2 seed (15-12) ... her top intercollegiate wins include: 1/8/11 - Western Invitational 13-2; 1/29/11 - Notre Dame Duals 19-0; 3/5/11 - West Region Champs. 8-0 ... has a sophomore bout record of 40-2 (.952) ... named most valuable fencer ... named MWC Scholar-Athlete for academic year 2010-11.
2009-10: Had a 38-22 dual meet season record ... in women[apos]s individual saber, she finished 14-4 at the Eric Sollee Invitational at Brandeis University ... Duke Meet (9-3) ... women[apos]s saber champion at the NCAA Western Regional (7-0) ... 2010 NCAA Championships (18th) with an 8-15 bout record ... in the top 40 in over half her competitions ... Amarillo Open, finished sixth and 11th ... won the Falcon Open Senior event and tied third in mixed saber ... tied for third at the NAC B Juniors in Kansas City ... Before Air Force: Parents are Christopher Nelson and Theresa Anderson ... siblings are Diana Dyer, Ethan LeSage, Jennifer Nelson and Samuel Anderson ... two relatives graduated from the USAFA, Lisa McCormack (1984) and Chris McCormack (1984) ... enjoys model rockets and aircraft ... fenced for three years at the cadet national team level, one year on junior national team ...
