Personal: Member of cadet squadron 30 … son of Anthony Francis Valenzuela and Mirasol Valenzuela … had an older brother, Miguel Felipe, who is a USAFA graduate … is also a second degree black belt in Taekwondo … intended major is economics … why I decided to come to the Academy: “I wanted to give back to this country for the opportunities it has given my parents after emigrating here from the Philippines. Had they not been given the chance to become citizens of the US, my brother and I would not have the blessings we have today and I feel as if coming to the Academy would be the best option for me to pay back in service while receiving an unrivaled education unfound anywhere else.” … began fencing in 2016 … credits his brother as having the biggest influence on his sports career.
