2019 – Played in all 13 games starting four … started four straight games (Army, Colorado State, New Mexico and Wyoming) … led the team with five punt returns for six yards … had three catches for 25 yards on the season … one carry for three yards vs. New Mexico … one catch for eight yards vs. Washington State in the Cheez-It Bowl … one catch for a career-long nine yards vs. San Jose State … first-career catch, good for eight yards and a first down, at Boise State.
2018 – Played in six games … was not credited with any offensive statistics … had one special teams tackle.
2017 – Did not see any varsity action.
High School – Lettered four years in football and soccer and one each in basketball and wrestling … four-time all-conference honoree in football on offense … earned first-team all-conference honors on offense three years … first-team all-conference on defense twice and was twice named first-team all-conference on offense and defense in the same season … earned all-state honors in soccer two years … was his high school’s valedictorian.
Personal – Son of Gary and Kim Peterson … is one of five children … his younger brother, Danny, who has Downs Syndrome, serves as his inspiration … majoring in mechanical engineering … hobbies include hunting and fishing … completed a summer academics course in civil engineering and was on the cadet cadre for Basic Cadet Training in the summer of 2019.
